STEM Prep Tutoring – Bridging Educational Gaps Through Innovation

Founded in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and remodeled in 2023, STEM Prep Tutoring is a purpose-driven startup addressing the academic setbacks and digital divide faced by underserved K–12 students. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a vibrant learning hub offering personalized tutoring in STEM subjects, standardized test prep (SAT/PSAT), and digital skills training, including coding and graphic design.

Our business development strategy focused on building community partnerships, leveraging technology, and responding to real-time student needs. We introduced hybrid delivery models, including virtual classrooms and in-person pop-ups, and launched boot camps in underserved communities with no prior access to digital tools.

Over the past year, we have expanded services to include a mobile-friendly learning platform, digital literacy pathways, and mentor-guided project-based learning. STEM Prep now serves students across multiple states and has helped students not only improve grades but also gain freelancing income from newly acquired tech skills.

We aim to scale our operations and continue recruiting passionate tutors who reflect the diversity of the students we serve. With a deep commitment to educational equity, STEM Prep Tutoring continues to evolve as both an academic support service and an engine for community empowerment.
